Aya Kapadokya is a 1,000 sqm hospitality project in Ürgüp, housed within a structure that functioned as a monks' inn for 300 years ago. The design approach prioritizes the preservation of its historical essence by maintaining the spatial simplicity inherent to its origins while integrating contemporary hospitality standards.

Locally sourced materials including regional stone, timber and landscape elements have been utilized to reinforce the connection between the structure and its surrounding landscape. The architectural interventions are minimal ensuring that new additions remain unobtrusive and in dialogue with the existing fabric of the area. Vaulted ceilings, carved stone walls and restrained interior detailing contribute to a sense of continuity between past and present.
The spatial organization adheres to the site's original layout with adaptive reuse strategies guiding functional upgrades. Circulation paths, courtyards and transitional spaces remain central to the guest experience fostering a sense of immersion in the historical narrative of the building.

Aya Kapadokya is conceived as a hospitality space that aligns with the region’s architectural heritage offering an environment shaped by historical integrity and material authenticity without excessive ornamentation or visual excess.
